4400 Grove received the Outstanding For-Profit Real Estate Development Award at the 27th Annual Chicago Neighborhood Development Awards. 4400 Grove is a mixed-use affordable housing residence that combines retail and residential space in the heart of Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. The development provides 84 mixed-income units that are financially accessible for the community, along with 18,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor.
Building on Bronzeville’s history as a center for African-American culture and business where residents of all economic classes lived side-by-side, 4400 Grove not only provides first-class housing for all income levels, but also strengthens the neighborhood’s economy with its 12 storefronts, which were all reserved for minority-owned businesses.
