Jim Kurtzman, Senior Vice President of McShane Construction Company’s Southwest Region, is recently announced that the Phoenix office is growing with the addition of two experienced veterans to the team.
Elaine McLean is the newest Senior Project Manager to join McShane’s Phoenix office. She comes to the company with 16 years of professional experience within the development, design/build and general construction industry. Her responsibilities include managing McShane’s construction assignments within the multi-family market sector. In her role, she will administer and monitor various processes and documents pertaining to each assignment including scheduling, cost reporting and estimating. Elaine’s expertise will help expand on McShane’s existing housing portfolio including multi-family, senior living, student housing and hotels. She received her Masters of Environmental Planning from Arizona State University.
Brett Gonsowski joins McShane as a Superintendent. He provides experience in producing and contributing to project take-offs, estimating, budgeting, contracting, purchasing and invoicing. Brett’s professional and detailed approach to managing projects’ on-site operations maximizes manpower and efficiencies, all while enhancing quality and safety. He has an extensive background in building a wide variety of housing projects. Brett received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and Construction Management from Western Illinois University and received his Construction Management Certification from Northern Illinois University.
“We are excited to continue growing the Phoenix office with new talent. Each person brings a different set of skills and we know that McShane will continue to develop in the Southwest Region,” stated Kurtzman. Both new hires each have over 16 years of experience in the construction industry. Elaine and Brett are both members of the Associated General Contractors of America and the U.S. Green Building Council.
